parihaka

Today the Waikowhai school wore white colour clothes to remember Parihaka. We made the white head band and then we drew Maori patterns on it .  Then we used the marker pen to colour the patterns on the head band .   Next we measured our head band it around our head.   Then we added the feather which represents PEACE.

BLACK FERNS

Black  Ferns are a New  Zealand Rugby team  they are very good at defending the try . They are good at kicking the  ball over the post. Black Fern has scored the most tries in this world cup. At school we took a picture and a video to send to the Black Fern to encourage them to keep on going . The youngest Black fern Sylvia Brunt is a Waikowhai student . We are so proud of the Black Fern .
